    ARP Odyssey ilk olarak 1972'de  Amerikan ARP Instruments şirketi tarafından üretildiğinde, ünü müzisyenler arasında çok hızlı bir şekilde yayıldı. Onu bu derece değerli kılan, kullanımının kolaylığı ve portatif olması sayesinde oldukça uzun soluklu üretimine, bazı ekonomik zorluklar ve dijital ürünlerin de türemesiyle 1981 yılında son verildi.
     
    Bugün 2015'de KORG, ARP Instruments şirketinin kurucu ortaklarından David Friend'in fikir ve tecrübelerinden faydalanarak ARP Oyssey'i Orijinal devrelerine sadık kalınmış bir biçimde kalsik soundunun yanı sıra yenilerinin de keşfine olanak tanıyan şekli ve koruyucu yarı hard-case'iyle birlikte müzik dünyasına geri kazandırıyor.
